'Disabile chi??!!', sport that brings people together. Chiesina Uzzanese celebrates inclusion
Hundreds of young people took part in the 2026 edition of an event that has promoted inclusion through sport for more than ten years.
Sport as a tool for meeting, growth and inclusion. This was the aim of the 2026 edition of 'Disabile chi??!!', the event promoted by the Municipality of Chiesina Uzzanese which, since its launch in 2012, has become a key event for the local community. This year the initiative took on even greater significance after being recognised as a Regional Paralympic Day.
The event involved hundreds of young people, persons with disabilities, students, associations, volunteers and sports professionals. For participants, it was an opportunity to try new disciplines, meet others and experience the value of inclusion first-hand through the universal language of sport.
The programme of activities offered at the town's sports facilities was extensive: tennis, padel, football, wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, athletics, fencing, archery, target shooting, boccia, table tennis, cycling, taekwondo, darts and table football. Different disciplines united by the goal of breaking down barriers and creating new relationships.
Councillor Caterina Sanzone highlighted the initiative's strong educational value, while Mayor Fabio Berti noted that 'when we started this journey, talking about inclusion through sport was not something that could be taken for granted. Today, seeing this event grow and become a Regional Paralympic Day is a source of great satisfaction for the entire community.' The result confirms the strength of a project capable of leaving a mark well beyond a single day, turning inclusion into a concrete and shared experience.
